Your Study Plan

Three questions, and the plan writes itself. You do not choose what to study — you say when the exam is and when you can work.

Pick a pace, and the plan writes itself. You do not choose what to study, or in what order — that is the part the plan does for you.

Thank you for unlocking. This plan is built on everything you now have — flashcards and companion PDFs. The preset plans assume what comes with the book alone, which is why this one is longer: there is more of it to get through.

These plans are built on what comes with the book: flashcards and companion PDFs. Unlocking adds more of both, and the custom plan is built on the larger set.

Two of your answers, read by a person

Whichever plan you follow, you can send us of your written responses and we will send back an assessment — one characteristic at a time — within . Free, and included with the book.

When is your exam?

A plan needs at least days, because the last belong to the exam week. If you meant a different month, change it above.

The plan stops three days before the exam: two for the Exam Day Survival Kit, and the day before is yours. Those three days are already counted here.

Completely off:

The catch-up day is there for the day you miss. The other one is not: it is the day the book stays shut, and it is part of the method.

Tell us when your exam is — or tick I haven't booked it yet, and we will show you three ready-made plans that cover the whole course.

catch-up days

This plan is longer than the time you have. What is left over is still in the plan, marked after your exam date — nothing is hidden.

Rebuilding keeps what you have already done: a ticked item stays ticked wherever it lands in the new plan. Only work whose name has changed cannot be matched.

Each of these three plans covers the whole course, and the one you pick is yours to keep and print.

Grading rubric

Grade your own — one characteristic at a time

You wrote words. The real exam gives one holistic 1–4 from each of two readers, not four separate marks: scoring each characteristic on its own is a study device, and it exists to stop you giving yourself a single generous impression.

Self-scored of . It is kept apart from your measured scores — it does not move your accuracy by objective, and it does not count toward the certificate.

You just scored yourself. Want a second reader? Judging your own answer against the four characteristics is the hardest part of preparing for the written assignment — the criteria are not hard to read, the judging is. Send us this answer and one more, and a person will read them. Free, within working days.

Passing score is 240 · scale runs 100-300

Multiple choice counts for 80%, the two open responses for 20%. This is an approximation of the official scale, not the official score.

Score your own open responses

No one can grade these for you here. Read your answer against the four Performance Characteristics from Chapter 13 — Purpose · Subject Matter Knowledge · Support · Rationale — and give it the score a scorer would: 4 thorough, 3 adequate, 2 limited, 1 weak. Be the strict reader, not the kind one.
