Write to [email protected] within fourteen days and tell us, if you want to, what went wrong. If the material is not what you expected, we refund you. We do not ask you to prove anything.
A study guide is bought by someone with an exam date and not much time. If it turns out to be the wrong thing, arguing about it wastes the one resource they do not have.
Where the law gives you a right to withdraw from a distance purchase — as it does if you live in the European Union — we have not asked you to give it up. And where it does not, we give you the same fourteen days anyway, because the reason for having them does not change with your address. There is a page for it — Cancel your purchase — linked from the foot of every page on this site, and it carries the model cancellation form as well, ready to copy.
What this policy adds on top is the part that is our choice: we do not ask you to prove anything, and we do not ask why. So there are two routes to the same outcome, ours and the one the law gives you, and neither is worse for you. Use whichever you find first; write to us if you would rather write to a person.
Any single purchase, in full, within fourteen days of the day you bought it — for digital material that is the day the contract is made, which is the day you paid.
Printed books bought on Amazon. Those follow Amazon's own returns policy, and we have no access to that order. Write to Amazon, not to us.
A refunded purchase loses the access it unlocked, and this is automatic. If you refund the add-on, the ten companion PDFs and the flashcards that came with it stop opening. What came with your book stays yours.
Write to us anyway. We would rather hear the problem than keep the money of someone who could not use what we sold.
Your purchase was handled by Sold through Link, LLC — that is the company's actual name, and it is the merchant of record on your receipt — so you can request a refund from Link support as well as from us. Either route works, and we are not going to tell you which one to use.
What we will tell you is what happens in each case, because it is the useful thing to know. Write to us and we answer within one business day and refund it ourselves, usually the same day. A dispute raised with your bank instead takes weeks to resolve, and while it runs nobody can look at the actual problem — which, nine times out of ten, is a file that did not download or a code typed wrong, and takes a minute.
Once the refund is issued, it usually appears in five to ten business days, depending on your bank. That part is not up to us.
